Therapy horse

Liquid Aloha is a permanent resident at TRRAC and a traveling therapy horse who visits assisted care facilities and children's hospitals.

OUR MISSION

TRRAC is an accredited 501(c)3 non-profit with a mission to assist and transition thoroughbred horses safely into retirement after their racing careers come to an end. Each year, hundreds of racehorses are retired with no place to go. TRRAC assists up to 85 horses per year by rehabilitating injuries, providing a safe haven for horses in sanctuary care, and retraining retired thoroughbred horses with the goal of placement through adoption.

We assist retiring racehorses as well as at-risk horses by giving them a safe place to go, where they can bond with people off the track, receive medical care, retraining, and nutrition and graze peacefully in the sun while enjoying retirement. Our program retrains many of these beautiful horses annually for second careers and places them in approved, safe, loving homes.

These "second careers" include show homes, pleasure homes, polo, fox hunting, police work, ranch work, trail work, therapy horses, and more. We believe each horse who is with us can find a home to call their own.

Whether you are a long-time horse owner or seeking your first horse, we strive to assist you and your family in seeking your perfect horse, answer any and all of your questions and step you through our easy processes while offering support - even after adoption.
