Adopt A Horse In Need Today

Adopting a retired thoroughbred racehorse can be immensely rewarding for both the horse and the owner. This new journey will create opportunities for bonding as you provide your retired racehorse with a wonderful next chapter in life. On behalf of everyone at TRRAC, thank you for considering an off-the-track thoroughbred.

If you can't adopt, please consider sponsoring a horse in rehabilitation. These horses face a long recovery journey, and your support can significantly ease their transition and healing process.

William Crotty is a gorgeous big bodied gelding who stands at approximately 16.2. Originally sold for $200,000 as a yearling at Fasig Tipton. This magnificent war horse raced all across the country at nearly 20 different major race tracks from the west coast to the east coast- he is well traveled! William is a very special horse who has completed his rehabilitation for a tendon injury. He is projected to carry on a successful intermediate career path as a show horse.

This gelding is barefoot, sound and has been on daily turn out with 2 other horses quietly. William has no vices and is well behaved- however, as he is a well traveled "war horse" he would match best with a rider/handler who is experienced with older retired race horses. William Crotty is UTD on vaccines, coggins, trims and dental exams. He has not been restarted back under saddle at this time as we are keeping his eligibility for 2023 RRP Makeover.
