Adopt A Horse In Need Today

Adopting a retired thoroughbred racehorse can be immensely rewarding for both the horse and the owner. This new journey will create opportunities for bonding as you provide your retired racehorse with a wonderful next chapter in life. On behalf of everyone at TRRAC, thank you for considering an off-the-track thoroughbred.

If you can't adopt, please consider sponsoring a horse in rehabilitation. These horses face a long recovery journey, and your support can significantly ease their transition and healing process.

"Tote The Note" is a friendly gelding who keeps to himself and is well mannered and behaved. Tote has no vices, is barefoot and is an easy keeper- Tote is inside during the day and turned out with two other geldings in the afternoon/night. Tote is UTD on dental, farrier, deworming, vaccines, etc. TRRAC was informed this horse was restarted under saddle by another connection and introduced to jumping. During his riding assessment with us Tote was a bit out of shape, but quiet to ride. He was able to walk, trot, canter and hop a cross rail. We would not say Tote is a "made" horse, however he should be very easy to get to the show ring! Wonderful gelding for someone who is seeking a partner who has been retired from racing for a few years now. Tote is sound with no reported prior injuries and clean legs.
