Adopt A Horse In Need Today

Adopting a retired thoroughbred racehorse can be immensely rewarding for both the horse and the owner. This new journey will create opportunities for bonding as you provide your retired racehorse with a wonderful next chapter in life. On behalf of everyone at TRRAC, thank you for considering an off-the-track thoroughbred.

If you can't adopt, please consider sponsoring a horse in rehabilitation. These horses face a long recovery journey, and your support can significantly ease their transition and healing process.

Description:

PJ is a 2014 bay gelding who was originally surrenderd to TRRAC by his show owners in 2021. His original owner acquired him off the track and trained him in mainly dressage, but did take him cross country as well. PJ rode nicely in our program in 2021 and was started over fences with TRRAC. He was then adopted out in the fall of 2021, but returned in June of 2026 due to no fault of his own. PJ will require a confident rider that will give him a tune up under saddle and bring him back to his full potential. PJ thrives on full turn out, is an easy keeper and requires front shoes as his only maitenance. He does wear a crib collar, but never cribs with it on. PJ is up-to-date with vaccines, coggins and deworming. His feet were in dire need of a farrier upon his arrival, which TRRAC has taken care of.
