Adopt A Horse In Need Today

Adopting a retired thoroughbred racehorse can be immensely rewarding for both the horse and the owner. This new journey will create opportunities for bonding as you provide your retired racehorse with a wonderful next chapter in life. On behalf of everyone at TRRAC, thank you for considering an off-the-track thoroughbred.

If you can't adopt, please consider sponsoring a horse in rehabilitation. These horses face a long recovery journey, and your support can significantly ease their transition and healing process.

"Koko" is a lovely, tall mare who retired soundly from racing and is now ready for her next career. This friendly horse has been on downtime at our facility and turned out in a large herd of mares. Kokolores was recently seen by our veterinarian and was assessed for soundness, which she passed by jogging soundly in hand. She is up-to-date on all medical maintenance and is ready to start her new career today! Kokolores has no vices and is very sweet to handle. She has had one ride under saddle at a walk/trot and did very well. This mare has no vices, is not spooky and enjoys being groomed. Currently Kokolores lives outside 24/7 (inside for her meals) and is barefoot. Koko is suited best for dressage, trails, low-key outings and low level showing.

Kokolores is also Retired Racehorse Makeover Eligible for 2023 and 2024.
