Description:
Above The Norm, affectionately known as "Norm," is a striking 16.2hh Light Bay gelding who represents the pinnacle of Thoroughbred breeding. Foaled in 2023 and hailing from Kentucky, he boasts an elite pedigree by McKinzie out of the Tapit mare, Tapany. Since retiring from the track in January 2026 with three career starts, Norm has transitioned into his downtime with a wonderful, vice-free temperament. He was gelded prior to arriving at TRRAC and is currently turned out in a private paddock.
Norm is a sound, athletic prospect with clean legs and a "big, gorgeous step" that suggests he will dominate in high-performance careers such as eventing, jumpers, or hunters. While he is currently direct off the track and has not yet been restarted under saddle, his physical presence and pedigree make him a standout candidate for a serious second career. Due to his size and elite athletic potential, Norm is best suited for an experienced rider/handler working within a structured program.
