Silken Belle (WV)
TB, GR/RO, M, FOALED MAY 17, 2015
( FIBER SONDE - WITCHY KRISSY, BY KRIS S. )
Silken Belle retired to TRRAC in fall of 2022 after continued lameness issues on the track. It was discovered prior to arrival that Belle had a large keratoma within her right hind hoof in need of surgery. Surgery was completed at New Bolton Center and Belle returned home for her long rehabilitation. She was a dream patient throughout her long rehabilitation and was released for full turnout summer of 2023. She has remained sound and is currently on 24/7 turnout in a large herd of mares. She has no vices, is barefoot, and is an absolute sweetheart to handle. She has quickly become a barn favorite among staff and volunteers alike. Belle will be limited to a low-mid level home and will require an advanced handler and rider to bring her along.
